WHO I AM
I am researcher at the University of Genoa (Italy) where I’m Director of the 3-years project EXPRESS – Experimenting on Presuppositions financed by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research. I studied at the University of Genoa (Italy) and at the University College London (UK). I have been Post-doc Researcher at the University of Konstanz (Germany).
WHAT I DO
I study how human mind processes verbal language. In order to do so, I combine linguistic theory with experimental methods. Some of my research interests concern presuppositions, polar questions, theory of reference, metaphors, gender bias and multimodal communication and the neuropsychological components involved in pragmatic processing.
I am co-founder of XPRAG.it – Italian Network of Experimental Pragmatics.
I love going to the beach, driving my motorbike, spending time with my daughter Olivia and watching football. Last but not least, I play the guitar in a punk and rock’n’roll band.
